About Me

My name is Doria. I am a proud mother of two beautiful girls and wife to an amazing and supportive husband. I was born in Portugal and immigrated to Canada with my parents when I was 9 years old. In my 20s, I returned to Portugal, where I discovered my passion for sustainable products. I've always had a love for purses and jewelry, which fueled my creative journey. 

Eight years ago, my family and I moved back to Canada, and I began crafting small cork purses and items as gifts for friends and family. Cork, a truly remarkable material, is not only sustainable and renewable but also water-resistant, lightweight, durable, fireproof and naturally hypoallergenic. Its versatility allows for creating unique, beautiful, and eco-friendly designs. 

The amazement and encouragement from friends and family inspired me to sell my creations at a small craft show. The response was incredible—most Canadians were unfamiliar with cork’s unique qualities and were captivated by its potential to create stunning, environmentally conscious products. This marked the beginning of my exciting journey to share the beauty and benefits of cork with others.
